Description

Very familiar and commonly imaged. The Squid nebula extends more than one degree,  it is the largest angular extent of any planetary nebula to date. The larger hydrogen alpha nebula the "Flying Bat nebula" (sh2-129) surrounds the squid.

This is a recent image set from my newly upgraded DYI astrograph. This instrument was made back in 2004 and has been imaging ever since. The old STL11000m was replaced with a newer CMOS ASI 6200mm and upgraded filters.
